Putin signs doctrine on national information security
MOSCOW, Dec 6 (PRIME) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin signed on Monday a doctrine on the country’s information security, according to a document released on the Web site of legal information on Tuesday.
“The doctrine is a system of official views on the provision of national security of the Russian Federation in the information environment,” the document read.
The doctrine says that information technologies have gained a global transboundary character and become an integral part of all spheres of activities of the person, the society and the state. “Their effective application is a factor of speeding up economic development of the state and shaping the information society.”
“The information environment plays an important role in the realization of strategical national priorities of the Russian Federation,” the document read.
